Ronald is the Senior Partner and Founder of Ronald Tong & Co.

 

As the founder of Cheung Tong & Rosa Solicitors ("CTR"), a Hong Kong based law firm with a history of over 40 years, he brought with him the team, experience and expertise from CTR and founded Ronald Tong & Co in 2021 as a continuation of the legacy of CTR.

 

As a seasoned litigator, Ronald mainly deals with complex cross border commercial civil litigation and international arbitration, including major bank fraud, debt recovery, shareholders' disputes, insolvency and debt restructuring etc.

 

He also acts for, advises and defends clients in SFC, Police and ICAC investigations and prosecutions.

 

For many years, Ronald has been acting for and advising a PRC bank that ranks among the world's top ten (calculated by asset size), and has successfully recovered a substantial amount of assets for it through litigation, including overseas assets, and has also invaluable experience in respect of overseas litigation.

 

Advising PRC clients is a large part of Ronald's practice and thus he knows and understands their mindsets and the PRC generally.

 

Relying on his vast litigation experience and acumen, business clients including multi-national corporations, state-owned enterprises, financial institutions, listed companies, family business and start-ups, always take and treasure Ronald's judgement and advice, who is always able to come up with practical and sensible solutions.

 

He sat as Non-executive Director as well as Independent Non-executive Director on the boards of various companies listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong.
